Prior to founding Greco Murphy Law LLP, Patrick was was an attorney at Williams, Birnberg & Andersen, LLP for 10 years where, in addition to real estate transactions, he also represented residential property owners’ associations (collection of assessments, enforcement of deed restrictions, foreclosures and evictions).
Patrick spent the early years of his legal career working in the upstream oil and gas industry as in-house counsel, first for an international seismic company based in Paris, France, then for a competitor based in Oslo, Norway. During this 14-year period, his work brought him to many interesting places across 4 continents where he represented his clients in negotiations with contractors, governmental agencies, international oil and gas companies, as well as national oil companies. This work also included real estate matters such as land entry permits, seismic trespass and other mineral rights issues affecting real property. He served as a member of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (“IAGC”) legal committee for preparing industry standard proposed model agreements between seismic contractors and their clients. He also testified in front of the Uruguayan Senate Committee on Industry, Energy and Mines concerning oil and gas exploration issues.
Patrick has lived and worked in Caracas, Venezuela and in Oslo, Norway. He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French and Portuguese. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys reading, watching classic movies, playing the drums, and spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid college football fan. In the Fall, he will be at the game or watching it on television, rooting for his “Dawgs” from Georgia.
